How this plan reads Scripture, and what it does not claim.

The book of Ecclesiastes gives a balanced framework for the 40 Day Biblical Protection Plan: do not let traditions, culture, or endless commentary twist God's Word into extremes.

The Preacher in Ecclesiastes reminds us that life under the sun is not always fair, yet the healthy respectful fear of God keeps us steady and grounded even when the righteous suffer and the wicked seem to prosper.

That keeps us from a distorted Pollyanna reading of Scripture and calls us instead to let the whole counsel of God interpret itself, including the hardship side seen in Hebrews 11.

In this current political climate, where citizens supporting a law and order trajectory may face real pressure, threats, and even death, our confidence is not in human opinions but in God the Father's wise care.

We Ekklesians are not to fear death, because the Lord gives eternal life to His sheep, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of His hand. The Lord will deliver and preserve His people unto His heavenly kingdom, so confidence must rest in the Father's care and not in fear. Scripture also shows that faith does not deny hardship, because some escaped the edge of the sword, while others were stoned and slain with the sword. So the call is not to fear, not to chase suffering, and not to live under dread, but to hear His voice and follow Him with steadfast trust.

Scripture also teaches that governing authority is not a human accident, but part of God's order for restraining evil and rewarding what is good. Rulers are called God's servants for good, and they do not bear the sword in vain, so supporting righteous law and order is not contrary to faith but can be part of loving what is just and protecting the innocent. For that reason, believers are not called to passive surrender to evil or to a careless refusal to engage where justice and protection are at stake. Rather, they are called to act with courage, sobriety, discernment, and perseverance, refusing to draw back from what God has set before them.

That reality should take lukewarmness and retreat off the table. As Jesus said, no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God. This is not denial of hardship; it is faith that rises above fear and anchors the heart in God's protection, wisdom, and faithful love.

Not All Anxiety, Suffering, and Persecution Is What It May Appear

Just as important, Scripture shows that some anxiety and suffering is not persecution at all, but the result of lacking wisdom, ignoring discernment, or moving ahead without the Spirit's leading. God gives wisdom liberally to those who ask, and the sons of God are led by the Spirit of God, so believers are not left to stumble through life ruled by fear, impulse, or confusion. Instead, Scripture says, “In nothing be anxious,” but to bring everything to God in prayer.

Today we might hear this called stop being dumb. Jesus was protected by His parents as a child and taken out of danger, and later He withdrew from hostile situations until the appointed time.

Paul was sometimes told where to go, sometimes where not to go, and at one point had to be lowered in a basket through a man-sized opening in the city's protective wall to escape.

The biblical pattern is not reckless bravado dressed up as faith, but obedience, discernment, and timely action under God's direction.

That is why the 40 Day Biblical Protection Plan is not a Pollyanna rabbits-foot approach to surviving, and it is certainly not a magic-carpet ride around hardship.

It is sound biblical wisdom that teaches readers to shut out fear driven voices, refuse the panic of social media prophets of doom, and listen for God's counsel above every other opinion, period.

Being wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove means learning to hear God for yourself rather than groupthink, avoid unnecessary trouble, and reject self-inflicted suffering wherever possible.

Real peace is not pretending danger does not exist; it is receiving the peace of God that surpasses understanding while walking in obedience and enjoying the benefits of His counsel.
